Keg at Switchback, Burlington. Hazy nut brown, small head. Fruity nose with some hazelnuts and caramel. Mid sweet with medium body and clean mouthfeel. Fairly low bitterness. A bit sterile with lots of crystal malt.

This was poured into a mug.
The appearance was a semi-dark hazy burnt brown color with a slim less than a finger’s worth of off-white head that just glazed the top of the mug. Nice semi-thick to thin foamy lacing glossed along the sides of the glass.
The smell starts off with some rich sweet nutty / somewhat walnut-like to toffee and caramel rich fragances.
The taste replicates the smell mostly. Definitely has a dry nutty aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation feels good.
Overall, as an English Brown ale, I really don’t see much wrong with this. I’d have again.
