250ml, 5 % abv, draught at the brewpub. Close to clear, dark ruby body with reddish highlights. Ring of bubbly foam to the rim of the surface. Aroma of fruity caramel. Malty taste of nuts, earth and caramel followed by a rounded, bittersweet tail. Soft in the mouth. Satisfying (Copenhagen, 21.03.2013).

Cask conditioned at the brewpub. Light brown beer with a small white head. Strong aroma of wood, roast malt, some grain and some fruit. Sweet and smooth first impression in the mouth, then a little roasted bitterness shows up.

Once more, I think that the cool (?) guy behind the counter inverted the beers; why do they like to switch the glasses if they can’t make 1+1?

Hazy brown color. Caramel aroma, soil (quite regular in Denmark; I had forgotten that). Dull caramel flavor, dust and soil; low bitterness, some of it in the end; yeasty (end of cask possibly). Bad idea.

Red-brown color. Pleasant but simple, smooth, with a lean body and a caramel character.
