A dry, roasty Black IPA. Lots of coffee and roast match up against woody, spicy, anise-like hops. 6.8% ABV

Draft @ Portland Old Port location. Chalice with a stem was used. Pitch black color with tan head. Excellent head retention. Tons of lace. Flavor is strong roasted malt and chocolate with lots of citrus and pine hops. As it warms; I pick up more resin. Light coffee notes. Texture is on the dry side. Needed water after I finished it. Medium body gives it high drinkability. Nice.
