Raspberry Wheat

Pint at the source. Slightly hazy deep straw with a hint of blush and no head. Seems like a common problem here, headless beers that is. Big raspberry aroma and flavor kind of blots out any other aroma and flavor from coming through. Faint bready spicy wheat maybe if I squint and a touch of astringency in the finish. Nothing earth shattering here, but it certainty isn’t hard to drink if you don’t mind a bit of fruitiness.

The appearance was a semi-hazy golden yellow color with a brisk white little head that left barely any lace.
The aroma had some raspberry and blueberry up front playing with some sweet to tart notes of wheat. Ended with some grassy hops.
The flavor mildly blended the sweet to the tart and educated the aftertaste with a little bit of that sweet to semi-tart wheat kick that I normally like in \"Summer session American wheat ales.\" Finish was quick with a little bit of raspberry tart melding with the wheat.
The palate was almost medium bodied but sat just a touch under. Carbonation felt fine. Tartness wasn’t distracting.
Overall, pretty nice fruited wheat ale that I would have again.

Draft @ brew pub. Standard pint glass. Slightly hazy gold with tiny white head. Mild retention. Nose is all raspberry extract. Taste is mostly sweet berry upfront with weak, wheat yeast after the berry. It’s easy to drink and does taste good. Real standard. But not bad.
