Reviewed from notes when I had this fresh.
The appearance was a slight copper to golden color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head. Glistened and softly melted into the beer with light stringy lace.
The aroma had some stone fruit hop sweetness. Had a decent juicy recover to the sweetness. Light malt base.
The flavor had a firm bitterness over top of a light juicy hop sweetness. Delicate wet clean malty to hoppy aftertaste. Finish was something of the same.
The feel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Good carbonation with the ABV.
Overall, well, looks like I get to retire this beer seven years later, though it has been retired in real life. It was good when I had it and I’m glad a Vermonter got to end this. Thanks BBC! We recovered!

Picked this up at Huger Mountain Co-Op. It was brewed around September following Hurricane Irene and money is going to charity for every case sold. It looks like it didn’t go over well. Only 4 ratings here of this beer. Here’s mine! Poured into a Duvel Tulip out of the fridge. A - Three-Finger off-white head with semi-tight bubbles. There’s a solid creaminess to the head but it fades away pretty fast. This is a fantastically dark IPA. Solid amber / tan color with some clouds in there of particles. S - Some hopiness but not too strong. It’s very faint like the beer has been around for a while (which may be the case). Pine trees, oak and a hint of bread yeast T - Whoa. HUGE explosion of flavor. Bananas are very present with a lot of hop but almost old hops like it’s not biting at all. It’s there and huge but not explosive compared to most IPAs. Roastiness as well with citrus at the finish. M - Full conversion from liquid to carbonation right as I do one swish. Medium bodied and very drinkable. O - This beer is fantastic! Wonderful IPA and solid drinkable beer.
