October 2008 Beer of the Month Club
Overall Impression: I can't find a lot of notes to go with this rating, but I do see that I thought it was a nice, not great, but solid Amber ale.
**Just submitted a photo for this one, as it was missing one.

Hazy amber. Nice head. Faint caramel nose with light English hop. Clean but bland malt-accented brew. OK, drinkable, little caramel, slightly herbal. The usual boring amber.

This beer came in my beer club. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy orange-amber color with a medium sized yellow-white head. The aroma was somewhat faint and sweet fruity and floral hops. The flavor was tangy, sour and lightly sweet with fruity hops and a bit of nut and caramel underneath. Pleasant.

Courtesy of Degarth. This beer just stated “BEER” on the label. Not sure what the aim was.
12oz bottle pours near copper with off white head. The aroma has some nice maltiness, roasted malts and some caramelized sweetness. I’m not really picking up any hops. The taste is caramel, crystal and mildly roasty malts but pretty thin and weak overall. I get almost no sense of hoppiness in there that makes me question whether or not they were ever added to the boil.

Pour is a copper with a small white head. Aroma is nothing. Flavor is nothing. This is not an alt and if it is this is the worst one i have ever had. Never again with this brewer.

12oz bottle-pours a light tan rocky head with gold color. Aroma is roasty malt, hops. Taste follows, good carbonation.
