Summer Hog is a crisp, light and thirst quenching beer. It is most refreshing when served cool and with its carefully blended English Fuggles and Goldings hops it is flavoursome and moreish. This is certainly a beer to be enjoyed on a hot summer’s day.

Cask (Estcourt Arms, Watford ) - From 2002. Golden in colour. Malty and slightly citrussy aroma. The taste is grainy with a moderate bitterness and notes of marmalade.

The aroma is slightly hopy. The color is golden and it has a small disappearing head. The flavor starts out bitter, turning sweet in the middle, to give way to the bitterness again. A very drinkable summer beer, but nothing special.

Golden; hazy; wheaty aroma, w/slight citric hop note; soft, creamy body; still finishes refreshing despite its lightness, lack of acidity and general malt-accent.
