bottle - Cloudy gold pour, spicy aroma with obvious coriander along with yeast, malt and a hint of fruit. The flavor is sweet, spicy and yeasty. There’s some alcohol presence. Medium bodied. It’s alright though underwhelming for the style.

Very slightly hazy orange/golden coloured body with a super-thin white head. Aroma of light coriander seed, wheat and curacao. Some spices noticeable also. Light to Medium-bodied; Sharp pungent spices with yeast and wheat noticeable in the taste. Aftertaste bitter, but shows coriander seed and subtle spices. Overall, a decent beer - a bit more effort and it might be worth drinking! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Chevy Chase Wine & Liquors in Washington, D.C. on 28-May-2005 on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

2007-11-02, Papsoe Blind Tasting
Cloudy blond color. The aroma is strange, with white sugar, spices, a bit herbal; very light bitter oranges and a bit soapy too. Medium body; some sweet malt flavor, with a quite evident spicy character (coriander and more), light residual sweetness; it ends quite dry, and with a warming alcohol feeling. Original.

From bottle, blind tasting at Papsoes - beer no 5. Pours clear yellow with a fully deminished white head. Grassy and cardboardish aroma, somewhat spiced. Flavour has whiff of malt. Ends with bit of bitterness. Boring

(Bottle 65 cl) Slightly hazy, pale golden with a white head. Fruity, lightly perfumy nose. Medium body rich in sweetish, pale malts. Some citrus and a perfumy spicyness. Warming alcohol in the finish but not much bitterness. 021107

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a thin biege head. The aroma is hoppy and flowery combined with notes of peaches. The flavor is sweet and very fruity and with an alcohol burn on the palate towards the end. A quite simple beer. Thanks to Papsoe for sharing.

Aroma of fruit and Belgian sugar. Golden amber color with a white head that laces. Thin to medium bodied; very moderate carbonation. Starts sweet, with coriander spice, and light bitterness. Nothing effectively balances the sweetness, but it is very refreshing, and the effect is of a light, low alcohol, tripel. Reheitsgebot be damned, it is really very good. Went well with steak fajitas.

Bomber from Ledgers; Nose of floral hops and a little spice; slightly hazed gold with a medium yellowish head; flavor has some mild hop bitterness, mixed with citrus and spices.

22oz bomber. Well first thing. This looks and smells like a German lager. It had a golden color with thin white head. The carbonation seemed on the low side. The aroma was sweet lightly roasted malts, citrus and floral hops. The flavor has some sweet malts then the coriander and citrus – grapefruit hops mix to create a floral type flavor. The taste is growing on me as I consume the beer. There is a full grapefruit and slight coriander after taste that sticks with you for a while.
