Bottle: Poured a black color stout with a large brown foamy head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of vanilla and black chocolate is quite interesting. Taste is also dominated by vanilla with black chocolate notes and some dry roasted malt notes. Body is thinner than I was expecting with good carbonation. Enjoyable but a fuller body would have been better.

Tap at Blind Tiger, New York. Colour is black with small slightly brownish white head. Aromas and flavours: Coffee, hints of dark chocolate and roasted malts. Served as ice cold. This is actually quite thin but again very drinkable.

Refrigerated 0.5 L brown bottle, bottled on May 13, 2014, poured into a snifter. Black with medium light brown head which dissipates fairly quickly. Aroma vanilla, medium body, creamy texture, medium carbonation, and thin small-bubble lacing. Taste is chocolate, coffee, some vanilla, some oats, some roasted malt, and some herbal hops. A little dry, but a good stout.

Bottle. Lovely jet black with a medium high, frothy, bubbly tan head. Big nose of vanilla, chocolate, soy, cafe au lait. Rich and delicious. Umami comes in with the sweetness, the vanilla, a touch of citrus and the light woody roast. Full creamy body. An excellent beer. Slight tang in the finish along with some hops too.

Black with a tall, tan head. Aroma of roast malts, coffee and chocolate. The flavor is well balanced between roast malt bitterness and the malt sweetness. Nice dryness in the finish. Good body.
