Cask Conditioned at Banbury Beer Festival Fri 21-04-06. A warm golden coloured beer that gave off a slightly sweet aroma. I didn’t think this particularly wheaty or particularly impressive for that matter, there were certainly some hops and sweetness present throughout and it was absolutely fine but I expected a little bit more from Loddon.

[Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm] A hazy orange beer with a nice lazing white head. The aroma is whety combined with notes of lemon and oranges. The flavor is very wheaty combined with notes of lemon, and with a dry wheaty end. Served at 12 degrees Centigrade as a cask should - but I personally don’t like warm wheat beers - so I don’t understand the concept of cask conditioned wheat beers.

Casked. Dark golden colour, foamy mediumsized white head. Sweetish bitter apricotty and honeyish hoppy aroma. Honeyish malty flavour with hops in finish. Also some earthy notes.

Sampled cask conditioned at Akkurat, Stockholm.
Clear golden. Sweet and fruity. Sugary and fairly full bodied with stale wheat malt character and some bubblegum. Low bitterness. Quite cloying.
