Bottle. Pale yellow. Absolutely no head. High carbonation. More hoppy than other mexican beers.

Bottled. Pale yellow. Syrupy bread aroma. Sweet and syrupy, yet extremely thin and sharp. Harsh metallic finish. Foul and fizzy.

(Bottle 33 cl) "Born in Mexico", an address in Holland on the back label and according to the Patrona website brewed on a "state of the art" brewery in Belgium - no mention of which though. This truly is a multinational enterprise. But all this effort was a beautiful waste of time as the result is completely useless. But presumably an attempt to produce a lager "Mexican-style". Decent pilsener golden colour, bubbly head that bubbles away in no time and completely vanishes. Sweet, sticky mouthfeel that indicates brewing cereal although the label claims the opposite. Give me a Corona anytime... 270605

Bottled (BB 02/2005)
Bud-color lager with lively carbonation and mostly vanishing white head. Aroma is quite present hops, malt and slightly metallic. Light crisp carbonated body. Gives sweet aftertaste. Quite close to Corona and Sol. This strange label claims to be born in Mexico.
