Draft. A black beer with a brown shin under a thin tan head. The aroma has notes of malt with a light note of roasted malt. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of roasted malt as well as lighter notes of wood, leading to a dry roasted finish. The body is light. Boring stout.

On tap. Opaque dark brown with an orange hue and a creamy, beige nitro head. Discreet aroma of hard roasted malt and licorice. Rather light in body with a low carbonation - due to the nitro - and hence a soft mouthfeel. Notes of licorice and hard roasted malt, but also a light fusty edge. Has a light malt bitterness in the finish. 100709

From tap at the brewpub. Pours dark brown to black with a small creamy and tan head. Classic nitro pour. Hardroasted and dark malty aroma, light coffeeish. Creamy mouthfeel. Quite sweet and toffee roasted caramel malt towards dark breadish. A bit thin in the mouthfeel for the finish but with a nice lingering roasted malt flavour and light bitterness coming through.

Draft. Brown/black beer with a creamy beige nitro head. Light roast/coffee aroma. Light roast/toffee/coffee/caramel malt flavor that lingers. Just a bit of bitterness. Medium bodied. The flavor is just a bit too light for me.

Very dark brown colour. Lightly roasty, chocolatey aroma. Light, mainly chocolatey character with just a light hint of roast. Smooth and creamy. The malts legitimize the nitrogen. Well-balanced.

Draught at the brewpub. Black with creamy nitrogen fuelled head. Dry and very roasty. Notes of of coffee and licorice. Very Irish in style, but with more life than in Guinness & Co these days. Medium bitterness.
