A dark, creamy Russian Imperial Stout with a light wooded taste of american oak, a hint of vanilla and a nice cocoa smell, a touch of bitterness. For sure, you'll enjoy it.

33cl bottle from my Secret Santa VDuquerroux, many thanks! A black beer with a lovely good lasting tan head. Aroma of dark roasted malt, coffee, sweet chocolate. Taste of intense dark roasted malt, ash, coffee, tobacco, sticky, slightly boozy.

Bottle from Terre de Boissons Calais and drunk at home. Black very dark brown colour lasting tan head. Tarry liquorice aroma. Smooth in the mouth. More liquorice. Some dark chocolate. Some coffee. I am not a big fan of liquorice. Finish is quite dry. Some hop presence a little blackcurrant fruit on finish. So its well made drinkable no faults. Just not my flavour.

25/06/2017 - tasting glass @ Swafff 2017. Black colour with small tanned head. Nose is lots of licorice, booze, some roast. Taste is - I would’ve said rhum but I suppose it was some bourbon - roasted malts, licorice.

Thank you for sharing Antwerp Untappd Crew! Sampled draft @ Swafff 2017! Black, little tanned head. Nose is umami, licorice, cacao, herbal. Taste is herbal, plastic, far too licorice, umami, cacao, leaves, black licorice. Body is licorice, herbal. Bourbon & vanilla are lost for me. Decent beer overall but there is far better as far as this style goes.

Noir opaque, faible effervescence, mousse beige quasi inexistante.

Opaque black - brown beer, good tan head. Palate is smooth and slightly viscous. Decent fine carbonation. Licorice streaked dark malts, trace f malt cream. Little malt bitterness. Tangy dark fruits underneath. More licorice and some spice before a dry finish. Tidy.

Good rubiginous beige head, stable, with textbook lace over virtually black beer. Sweet-salty smoked ham aroma, roast & smoke, yet sweet. Hints at alcohol. Bitterish-roasted, overtoasted cereals, breadcrust (Maillard?). Little in the line of Bourbon, if for the sweetness, lots of smoke, however. Bitter(ish) cacaopowder. Feels thick, well-bodied, creamy. Alcoholburn; dry finish going over in similar aftertaste. Not bad, just on no point outstanding.
