Dark and roasty and not too dry. A solid and dependable performer - pulls away strong at the finish.

On tap at the brewery. Pours black. Chocolate, coffee, plum and fig, bit of toast, some bitter roast but not too much. Medium body. A well balanced easy to drink dark ale.

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a lazing tan head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, soy sauce, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, soy sauce, and caramel, leading to a dry roasted finish.

(On tap) Clear, dark brown with an orange hue and a small, off-white head. Fairly roasted malt aroma. Light in body for such a dark beer. Hard roasted malt accents also leaving some malt astringency. A very quaffable Porter. 290108

Draught at the brewpub. Near black, beige head. Very roasty with plenty of licorice. It’s really salty with rounded mouthfeel and tarry finish. When it warms chocolate comes out, and this certainly improves the flavour profile.
