Thought I would treat myself for my 13k.... Bottle from Checkers Liquor Store in Windhoek. It pours clear yellow with a thick foamy white head. The aroma is sweet, cheap lemonade, candy, paper and quite a bit of graininess. The taste is mostly of sweet lemonade upfront, cream soda, icing sugar, grainy action and paper with a dry, sweetish finish. Light body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Pretty shitty overall.

Smells like bread with perhaps a slight hint of fruit, something like rotten apples in there. Looks like cider with a deep orange hue. Has a soft apple taste with bread on the back-end, perhaps that means grains but it seems more like bread to me. Not at all a bad shandy and has enough of a beer kick that you’ll remember it’s not just a fruity drink.

(Bottle 34 cl) Clear golden with a tall and frothy white head. Slightly synthetic citrus aroma. Light in body, sweetish citrus, fresh as lemon pop but also chemical and artificial with an astringent finish. 120508

Bottled. Deep golden, fizzy head. Marmeladey orange aroma. Sweet and lemonady with some bready malt underneath. Not fabulous in any way, but it works fairly well while drinking it in the sunset while watching two rhinos drink from a waterhole a few meters away in Etosha National Park.
