Keg at Joe’s Beerhouse, Windhoek. It pours clear golden with a decent white head. Decent retention. The aroma is fresh, clean, fairly restrained, bit of white bread and toasty grain. The taste is crisp, clean, slightly creamy, soda water, straw, grass and a hint of spice. Finish is kind of dry. Light - medium body, moderate carbonation and foamy mouth - feel. Clean it is, but lacks any sort of depth. No faults, just not a whole lot it. Sort of the lager version of Tesco value bitter. Palate cleanser.

Backlog. From tap at Swakopmund Brauhaus, Namibia, 07.04.12 - after crossing Africa from East to West 4.421 km by public transport. Clear golden. Good, but short-lasting, head. Little aroma, some bitterness, neutral taste. Could have been any Euro-lager.

Draught at Swakopmund Brauhaus, Swakopmund. Bright golden, small head. Grassy nose with a slight bananaish yeast flavour. The mouthfeel is clean and fizzy. Fruity with short grassy finish. Not much to write home about.
