A travel in bitterland! The idea of this wheat beer was to discover the diversity and the complexity of bitterness. Take a seat for the flight of experience and close your eyes... First, the softness of wheat and a light herbal taste. The calm before the storm! Very quickly, the middle of your tong experiences the hop bitterness. It’s subtile, not too bitter. Then comes the second attack coming from the gentiane. It hits the tip of your tongue with a pointy bitterness, maybe a bit spicy. Eventually, the last bitterness rainses the back of your palate. This harsh bitterness comes from the artichoke leaves. End of the flight, you come back to reality with some nice bitter aftertaste... and maybe a big smile!

Thank you for sharing Antwerp Untappd Crew! Sampled draft @ Swafff 2017! Very bitter brew made with bitter leaves & flowers besides the hops, interesting idea, feels like they went for really harsh & weird bitterness. Hazy orange, off-white head. Nose is massive butter, soap, milky, candy, stale yeast, Beerstorming profile. Taste is massively bitter grass upfront, stale yeast, butter, finish is massively bitter vegetable, really lingers, Chinese spices, green asparagus, cooked green vegetables, bitter Brussels sprouts, more vegetable,... Murky,... Base is not good, bitterness really builds & becomes horrendously bitter vegetable, interesting but not very palatable or enjoyable for me.
