This excellent Stout served from the barrel and in 330 ml bottles combines the creamyness of its foam with the delicate mixture of aromas and flavors of its style. Of dark color, almost black, this Stout demonstrates a body balanced with flavors of caramel, toasted coffee and bitter chocolate, that next to its creamy texture will delight until the most demanding. A very interesting food coupling can be with seafood like clams, oysters or crab; very good with grilled meat, perfect with pure chocolate desserts or even a Cuban cigar.

Bottled at Sicosis, Santiago Near black, rocky head. Lemony nose. Roasty and rather light bodied with fairly clean mouthfeel. Citric and vinegar is too dominant to sense any chocolate. Low bitterness. Obviously infected, I’m afraid.

Dark black stout with a thin moka head. Light chocolate aroma, with berry notes, faint. In mouth, a light chocolat emalt and roasted coffee, a bit astringent. Lighter bodied. A decent stout, quite quaffable, but served way too cold. 2000P at the Phone Box, Santiago.
