On tap at Republica da Cerveja Lisboa. Clear amber coloured, small off-white head, light notes of smoke in rather sweet nose. Moderate malty, slightly smoked, light dried fruits and evident alcohol presence in the finish. Goes rather on a sweet side. Not the best smoked I’ve tried but I’m really happy for finding Portuguese smoked beer.

Draught at República da Cerveja, Lisbon. Deep golden, small but firm head. Heavily smokey nose with beechwood and bacon. Medium bodied with clean, rounded mouthfeel. The sweetness hides the alcohol well. Low bitterness. Sweetness & smoke combines like an American BBQ sauce. An interesting seasonal of this faux-brewpub.
