Once a year, homebrewers are encouraged to send us their best brews. This time was the fourth time we invite a homebrewer to join us and Siren for a collaborative brew. Dave Strachan submitted a beautiful coconut Porter and so we decided to play along on that theme. Brewed with maple syrup and aromas.

Draught @ MBCC 2019. Pours very dark brown with a brown head, sugary lacings. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, coffee, maple chocolate. Flavor is sweet, light bitter, roast malt, caramel, maple syrup, coffee, chocolate, alcohol. Full body, soft carbonation, oily mouthfeel, sweet finish with warming alcohol. 110519

A very sweet, maple syrupy Imperial porter. Strong coffee milkshake flavours (never had a coffee milkshake but this tastes like one). A very good intense beer; a classic omnipollo flavour iteration.

On tap at MBCC '19, Red session. Solid fawn coloured head to a jet black body. Foamy lacing. Appealing smooth cocoa powder on the nose, nicely roasted. Thick chocolate flavours supported by cocoa powder, coconut and syrup. Lingering and warming down the swallow. Full bodied. Lovely (Copenhagen 11.05.2019).

Tap. Black color with beige head. Aroma is maple, burnt coconut, chocolate. Taste is maple and coconut, rich and deep. Oily mouthfeel with fine-bubbled carbonation. Lorelei is just always such a treat!

Sample @ MBCC 2019, red session. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are rich roast malt, chocolate, maple, coffee and hops. Nice sweet and bitter finish.

[ As Omnipollo / Siren / David Strachan Lorelei Maple Coconut Toast 2019 ].
ABV: 10.5%. Clear dark black brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, maple, coconut, light coffee. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, coconut, maple, chocolate, cocoa, roasted - toasted, dark malt, rich, light coffee. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming. [20190509]

Tap @Mikkeller, Vik. Black, beige head. Nice maple aroma. Some vanilla and chocolate. Choc, vanilla and maple syrup flavour. Some aalc warmth.

Pours black with light tan head. Aromas of pancake syrup, sweet caramel, and slick roasted bakes. Flavors of maple syrup, treacle, dark fruit ice cream, chocolate and rich roasted malts. Toasted coconut at the end. Crazy decadent.
