Once a year, homebrewers are encouraged to send us their best brews. This time was the fourth time we invite a homebrewer to join us and Siren for a collaborative brew. Dave Strachan submitted a beautiful coconut Porter and so we decided to play along on that theme. Brewed with maple syrup and aromas.

Salón piva. Almost black color with thick brown head. Aroma of chocolate, coconuts, mapke, roasted malt. Very complex taste with chocolate, maple syrup, roasted notes. Very Good.

Hāpi festival 2019, poured with a slushie top, thanks to Carlos for serving us halfway through the line... Pours black with a big dark brown slushie head. Maple syrup, coconut, huge boozy maple, sweet, plenty of chocolate and coffee and a little dark fruit. Very thick and the slushie definitely helps with that. Extraordinary fun, which is exactly what a festival beer should be for me.

330 ml bottle, bb 17-01-2021, from de Bierliefhebber, thanks to Werckmeister!
Black body, with a small, creamy, dark brown head.
Beautiful aroma of maple syrup, coffee, dark chocolate, cocoa powder, coconut, toffee, some molasses, some soy sauce, slight tobacco.
Tastes also very lovely, quite similar, with more tobacco, some liquorice.
Full, oily mouthfeel, with a low carbonation.
Finishes warm, medium sweet, medium roasty, a bit dry, with maple syrup, chocolate, cocoa powder, coconut, some tobacco.
Delicious! So smooth and rich, with a beautiful mix of sweet maple syrup, creamy dark malts and roasty notes. The balance is really great, big and warming, but not too heavy to drink, sweet, while not sticky at all. Outstanding, beautiful sipper!

0,33l bottle at home bought from de Bierliefhebber. No obvious BB date. black color, almost no head. smells of maple sirup, coconut, cinnamon, toasty notes, bitter chocolate, milk coffee, light caramel. lovely smell. full body light carbonation, oily mouthfeel. tastes of maple sirup, cinnamon, coconut, some toffee, some chocolate, fudgy, rather sweet, bit sugary. finishes medium sweet with notes of maple sirup, brown sugar and some coconut notes. very nice one, but very sweet, lovely flavour profile.

16-03-19 // 150ml on tap. Vintage 2019. At Biererei Bar & Vintage Cellar Pitch black. Not really a head. Intense nose of dark roasted malts and sweet coconut. Oily full bodied. Maple present. Chocolate bomb.

Taster courtesy of Thomas, big thanks. black color, very tiny very dark coffee colored head. smells of maple, coconut, light vanilla, some espresso, bitter chocolate, fudge, nice toasty notes. very lovely smell. very intense. full body, light carbonation, oily mothfeel. tastes of coconut, maple, vanilla, bitter chocolate, fudge, lightly toasty, some nuts. finishes lightly bitter with notes of maple, vanilla and some fudgy notes. very nice one, vanilla is a bit present for me to rate this even higher, but overall lovely beer.
