Once a year, homebrewers are encouraged to send us their best brews. This time was the fourth time we invite a homebrewer to join us and Siren for a collaborative brew. Dave Strachan submitted a beautiful coconut Porter and so we decided to play along on that theme. Brewed with maple syrup and aromas.

In der Nase sehr deutlich Kaffee, im Trunk eine Genussexplosion. Kaffee-Crema, Schokolade, Nuss. Je länger der Abgang dauert desto mehr Aromen drängeln sich am Gaumen vorbei. Mal wieder ein sehr extravagantes und sehr geiles Bier der schwedischen Wunderkinder.

Bottle, ty sten. Pours dark brown-black. Aroma and flavor are sweet, extracty, roast, malt, chocolate, coconut, maple. Overall: good enough, but bit too extract-y and not beer-y enough.

330ml bottle, 2019 rebrew I guess. Black with a thin tan head. Aroma of maple syrup, toasted coconut. Taste is intense maple syrup, so sweet, toasted coconut, caramel, chocolate, biscuit. Full bodied, thick, viscous mouthfeel. An amazing porter, the crazy sweetness is pretty much the only thing holding it back from a perfect 5.

Bière 33 cl ramenée des Halles de Wazemmes. Couleur noire intense, jolie mousse café qui dure peu. Nez envoûtant sur le chocolat, la vanille, le café, très sucré, vanille, tabac. En bouche, chocolat, notes de noisettes et de torréfié, un pur délice, texture liquoreuse, un vrai dessert gourmand.

Bottle at tasting with Cuso, MisoW and Gurthnar. Malty aroma, chocolate, nuts, toffee, light coffee, light sweet, light to medium bitter. Full body, malty bitter sweet finish. Good.

Bottle at a tasting. Brutal all around. Full body, low carbonation. Very complex and very intense. Loads of maple syrup, light coconut, loads of chocolate, cocoa, med-light deep roast. Very tasty, very good. Motor oil. Excellent.
