(Bottle) Black colour with brief, foamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of dark chocolate, maple syrup, black coffee, nuts, coconut and vanilla. Malty, roasted sweet taste with cacao, maple syrup, black coffee, nougat, hazelnuts, rum raisins, coconut, cinnamon, vanilla and a mild cacao bitterness in a sweet and vinous finish. Full body, sweet. A bit sweet and slightly artificial, but really rich and tasty. Great beer.

Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, maple syrup, chocolate, caramel, coconut and alcohol. Taste is heavy sweet and light to medium bitter with a long very sweet maple syrup, chocolate, caramel and coconut finish. Body is full, texture is oily to sticky, carbonation is soft.

On tap at the Siren Tap Yard. Pours black with light head. Big aromas of maple syrup, caramel, chocolate, and soft sweet roasted malts. Flavors follow same but thick, sweet and rich, with additional dark caramel, fudge and graham cracker. Sticky. Can’t get much better for a desert beer. I’ll take a couple of cases please.

Flavor is sweet, light bitter, roast malt, caramel, maple syrup, coffee, chocolate, alcohol. Full body, soft carbonation, oily mouthfeel, sweet finish with warming alcohol. 110519
