It all started when homebrew champ Dave Strachan sent us a beautiful coconut porter. We loved it and decided to play along with that theme. Lorelei was born.
For the 2019 batch we added extra maple and coconut toasted to transcendence. A worthy continuation of the world's most badass porter.

On tap at MBCC '19, Red session. Solid fawn coloured head to a jet black body. Foamy lacing. Appealing smooth cocoa powder on the nose, nicely roasted. Thick chocolate flavours supported by cocoa powder, coconut and syrup. Lingering and warming down the swallow. Full bodied. Lovely (Copenhagen 11.05.2019).

Tap. Black color with beige head. Aroma is maple, burnt coconut, chocolate. Taste is maple and coconut, rich and deep. Oily mouthfeel with fine-bubbled carbonation. Lorelei is just always such a treat!

Sample @ MBCC 2019, red session. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are rich roast malt, chocolate, maple, coffee and hops. Nice sweet and bitter finish.

ABV: 10.5%. Clear dark black brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, maple, coconut, light coffee. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, coconut, maple, chocolate, cocoa, roasted - toasted, dark malt, rich, light coffee. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming. [20190509]

Taster courtesy of Thomas, big thanks. black color, very tiny very dark coffee colored head. smells of maple, coconut, light vanilla, some espresso, bitter chocolate, fudge, nice toasty notes. very lovely smell. very intense. full body, light carbonation, oily mothfeel. tastes of coconut, maple, vanilla, bitter chocolate, fudge, lightly toasty, some nuts. finishes lightly bitter with notes of maple, vanilla and some fudgy notes. very nice one, vanilla is a bit present for me to rate this even higher, but overall lovely beer.
