On tap @ the brewery during San Francisco 7/7/14 beer tour. Pours a burnt orange appearance with a tan head. Kind of bland aroma with a bit of orange citrus, herbal hops, and caramel. Pretty high carbonation. Earthy, herbal, toasted malty flavor. Not offensive but could use some tweaking.

On tap at Magnolia, pours a clear golden orange with a medium off-white head. Aroma brings out unmistakeable English hops, English ale yeast, and crackery malt. Flavour is pretty bland, with notes of English malt, biscuity malt, and fungal notes. Smooth, dry, but pretty bland. Well-made, but nothing exciting.

Cask at the brewpub. Clear copper colour. Aroma of hay and fruit. Solid body for it’s size, perhaps a tad fairly mouthfeel. A drinkable, fairly authentic English cask bitter with low bitterness.

On tap. Dark golden body with white head. Some toasted malt in the aroma. Flavor is dry, toasted malt and also a bit biscuity crisp. Not very bitter, but with a long pleasant aftertaste. In fact very similar to a British bitter.
