Bottled. A nut-brown beer with a tan head. The aroma has light acidic notes mixing in with notes of nuts. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and caramel, and lighter notes of nuts, leading to a lightly bitter finish. Thanks omhper for sharing.

Bottle. Thanks to DSG. Pours a brown color with a small off-white head. Has a sweetish malty caramel and chocolate aroma. Sweet malty caramel flavor with some hints of chocolate. Has a dry malty slightly bitter caramel finish.

Bottled, thanks DSG! Clear chocolate brown, brief head. Chocolatey nose with some paper. Light-medium bodied with clean, rounded mouthfeel. Straightforward, carefully roastiness. Light salty finish. Correct, but not the beer with the most character.

Draugthat the brewery. Deep dark brown but not opaque with some dark red taints, beautifull colour. Small stable creamy beige head, barnyard nose with some oxidative notes, barnyard flavours with some caramel notes, acompanied by a mellow bitterness. Pleasant sweet and sour aftertaste, medium to full body. Very good session beer, i could find myself drinking this on and on.

Draught at the "Pre-Pesach Keg Party" 2008. Dark brown color with a medium creamy beige head. A malty, rather nutty, aroma with some caramel and light fruitiness. Malty sweet flavor with some nuttiness, light toastiness and a pretty dry finish with caramel and hops. Medium-bodied. A decent brown ale. 6/4/6/3/13=3.2
A rating for "Pre-Pesach Keg Party" 2007 one-off brown ale (to clarify - this is not the same beer as the "Downtown Brown"): Draught at the "Pre-Pesach Keg Party" 2007. Dark brown, almost black, with a light brown head. Aroma is malty with a bit of roastiness. Flavor is sweetish and malty with a bit of roastiness in the finish. Medium-bodied. A bit boring. 6/4/6/3/12=3.1
