Our signature porter, brewed with oats, has a soft, velvety mouthfeel with layers of chocolate and roasted malt on the palate. The ominously black appearance belies this porter’s approachability; Pot & Kettle is satisfyingly smooth and nourishing, but never lumbering or heavy. While not sweet, dark fruit notes, such as cherries, dates, and raisins, reveal themselves as the beer warms.

473ml bottle (thx, Alex G.!) at Brian’s office. Canned on 2016-10-12. Pours a dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is roasted malt and some fruity notes. Taste is low to moderate-sweet, with roasted malt and hoppy bitterness. Quite pleasant.

Medium brown, with no head. The aroma is mellow, bit fudgey. On the palate, chocolate, fudge, full body, moderate bitterness. Ok balance, but comes across as a basic fudgey porter. Ok, maybe with a bit more oomph behind it.

Bottle courtesy of Ronny. Dark brown pour with a frothy beige head. Roasty nose with dark bread, coffee, toasted oatmeal, bitter chocolate & chocolate chip cookies. Slightly sweet, bitter & malty taste. Round, soft, creamy & slightly atringent mouthfeel. Tasty robust malty stout.

Lata 50 cl. (VI cata ratebeer en Cimmeria 22..01..2017). (r93). Color oscuro casi negro con buena espuma beige. Sabores a maltas tostadas con ligeros caramelos tambien tostados y toques alicorados. Ligeros cafés y cacaos. Cuerpo medio no muy denso pero suave, fino y con algo de espuma. Bastante buena. Para repetir.

At Hopishop 2016. Aroma of cherry, coffee and chocolate. Flavor of soft chocolate, cherry, coffee and soft smooth roasted malt. Good beer.
