  Amber / Red Ale Regular
Score

ABV: 5.5% IBU: - Ticks: 20
A 2001 Silver Medal Winner at the North American Brewers' Association competition. A deep-copper colored medium - bodied ale. Its fresh flavor is smooth and carefully balanced with a nice mellowness and hint of caramel malt balanced by medium hop bitterness. It is an all malt beer that is naturally carbonated. A very drinkable beer all on its own and pairs well with all kinds of foods.

Location: Draft at the Brewpub, 3/3/14

Aroma: The aroma is kind of dull, some caramel notes, bread, and not much else
Appearance: It pours an amber color, mostly clear, with an off-white head
Flavor: The flavor is much the same: a little malty and kind of dull, not much hop presence
Palate: The body is light and clean, fairly smooth, soft, and with a shorter finish
Overall Impression: I thought this was a fairly unexciting one. It wasn't an example of the style that I thought was particularly good. It is just kind of a dull beer.

On tap at the brewpub. Dark golden to light amber in color, clear, with a small creamy off-white head. Biscuits, caramel, toffee notes and a fruity touch in the aroma. Quite thin on the palate, soft and dry, with a little bitterness in the flavor. Caramel and a malty touch too. Short finish. Not bad in any way this one, except it’s boring. 130818

Draft. Amber beer with an off-white head. Malt aroma. Malt and light hop fl;avor with grainniness. Medium bodied. Malt and light hops linger with grain. Hops mostly light grapefruit. Tired of grainy Oak Creek beers.

12 oz bottle from Sparky27. Pour is a clear golden orange with with a one inch white head that falls pretty quick. Decent amount of lacing. Aroma of not much, maybe some light toasted maltiness, perhaps a little dustiness. Very faint nose. Taste is thin maltiness, followed by some apple sweetness. There is also a decent crystal malt profile - goodly amount of iced tea coming through. As with the nose, watery with not too much going on. Palate as mentioned is thin, watery. Lowish carbonation. Thankfully brief finish. Dull beer, thanks for sending Eric - Oak Creek does have sweet bottle caps.

12 oz bottle-pours an off white head and hazy gold/orange color. Aroma is herbal, funky fruit. Taste is funky fruit-apricot, osme herbal, light/medium malt-caramel. Not sure what the objective was but… Thanks decaturstevo for sharing. 110302-on tap, still about the same bottom line

tap at the brewpub - Pours mostly clear amber and smells of caramel malt and a touch of fruit. The flavor is a good combination of caramel malt, mild hops, and those light fruit notes. It has a light to medium body and a lightly bitter finish.

Bottle from cbkschubert; Thanks Craig! Nose of caramel malts, citrus, and a little bit of banana esters showed. Rusty colored with a tiny beige head; malty caramel flavor with some roastiness.
