On tap at Ølfestival 2011. A dense, finger-thick beige head sits on top of a very dark brown body. Sort of sourish on the nose, but it’s the roasted aromas that dominates. Not much room left for anything else. The flavor is lemony sour with a solid dose of roasted malts. Medium to thin on the palate. Lightly lemony finish, sour and roasted, with a hint of burnt malts. Overall, a bit too thin and highly unusual, but it drinks easily. 110528

Draught, KØ11. Mild roasted aroma. Almost black colour, seems clear. The flavour is dry and rather acidic. OK refreshing combination. The mouthfeel is a bit thin, though.

Draught at Københavnske Øldage 2011. Dark brown, small head. Metallic blood aroma. Sweet and sour with medium body and sharp, rock hard mouthfeel. Some molasses, but mostly iron and blood. Sourish metallic finish.

On tap. Pours an opaque black with a creamy beige head. Hard roasted malt in the nose, a whiff of vitamins and diacetyl. Medium-bodied, hard roasted malts, distinctly metallic, a light tartness (presumably brewed with a sour mash), ashy notes and a dry finish. 130611

Draft. A pitch black beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma has notes of wood, ashes, caramel, roasted malt. The flavor is sweet and acidic with notes of roasted malt, wood, and caramel, as well as lighter notes of butterscotch, leading to a dry, tart, and roasted finish.
