Draft. A pitch black beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma soy sauce, roasted malt, alcohol, and grain. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted almost burnt notes, combined with notes of wood, and soy sauce, leading to a dry roasted finish. The body is light.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours rather dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is dark liqourice, roasted malt, almost tarish hard roasted. Mild acidic berry touch. Subdued caramelish sweetness, bitter, dark hard roasted malty, light liqourice touch. All going into a smooth finish from a more brutal start. Again rather dry and with a growing bitterness.

Draught at the Operagrillen
Black color, with creamy head. The aroma of roasted malt is mild, with a fruity side, and milk; very fresh. Smooth mouthfeel; some roasted malt flavor, quite dry, and also astringent; there is a light sourness from the fruit. Correct bitterness. Quite good.
