Like our winged friends on the mountain, this ale is full of personality, withjust theright amount of hop! Warm copper colour. A well rounded mouthfeel with subtle bittering. A perfectly balanced brew.

33 cl bottle @ wPBF Ⅲ
Aroma has sticky malty tones, ripe fruits and resin. Also wood and hints of minerals. Flavour has cardboard, mellow resiny hops and woody notes. Finishes with nothing. Aroma was promising but flavour is quite short and empty. Perhaps too old?

Bottle at wpbf. Amber color, small off-white head. Ryeish, light bourbon in the nose. Light-bodied to medium-bodied. Caramel, whiskey and grass. Perhaps not very fresh.

Bottled at Petalax Beer Festival, from Corner Pub, Beijing. Hazy amber, small head. Caramelly cardboard aroma. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Caramel and what could pass as cheap whiskey, but comes out more as wet paper. Low bitterness.

Bottle sample at Fass Beit Beera Brewhouse. Thanks Ariel. Hazy amber. Oxidized aroma of cardboard, stale chocolate and caramel. Sweetish flavor, malty, oxidized, with stale chocolate, caramel, a bit of honey anda bit of fruitiness. Medium-bodied. Seems old. Not pleasant.

330 ml bottle. Pours a very dark amber with large head of big bubbles. Very light malty aroma and flavor. A little sweet. Light bitter finish. That is all.

On tap. A dark amber beer with a small, dense off-white to light beige head. Rather weak aroma and flavor, some caramel maltyness going on all the way, a touch of grains as well, but all very subdued. There’s also some bitterness, but again, not much. Medium body, soft carbonation, with a short finish. Well, what can I say? It certainly isn’t a bad one, but it’s utterly dull, certainly not a beer I’d choose to have again if there were other choices. 130703

Decently balanced actually. Has some hoppy pale ale feel with some oak. Pours red with some lacing. Finishes of bitter alcohol. Texture a little watery. Pint at the Metropole.

Draught at Malone’s Urban Drinkery, Vancouver
Amber color, cream; generous head. The aroma is a bit creamy and buttery. Light mouthfeel, some caramel, butter, wood (would that be the whiskey?); low bitterness. Dry final.
What did they want to do?
