Flaska från 2015. Inget plopp, ingen kolsyra eller skum och en rejält platt kropp med en saftig munkänsla helt utan kraft och stuns. Smakbilden är iaf bättre. Rejält oxiderad, torkad frukt, fat och trä. Kanske väl mycket trä och totalintrycket är inte bra.

(Bottle) Cloudy brown colour with brief, foamy, beige head. Malty, sourish nose with notes of vinegar, oak wood, caramel, dark fruit and brown sugar. Malty, tart, vinous taste with caramel, crisp-bread, brown sugar, oak wood, port wine, madeira, a touch of cinnamon and a tart finish with a slight sweetness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Lacking the complexity of the best oud bruins, but has a good wood character. Quite nice.

Flaska från SB, vintage 2015. Passerat bäst före-datum, men brukar inte vara några bekymmer för en sådan här typ av öl. I det här fallet har åldringen dock tyvärr inte gjort den väl. Rödbrun, lätt murken utan krona. Något barley wine-liknande toner i doften. Helt slät kropp, uttunnad och ganska ordentligt oxiderad. Platt smak av kartong och gammalt papper. Ingen syrlighet överhuvudtaget. Alltid en chansning med att låta öl ligga.

Bottle. Pours an amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty spicy woody sour caramel aroma. Fruity malty woody sour dark fruit flavor. Has a fruity sour woody dark fruit finish.

Bottle from Systembolaget, e-order in April 2016. Amber/brownish with a small head. Aroma of berries, oak and light vinegar. The taste was similar. Fairly light and not that tart. Drinkable.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Clear copper colour, small head. Pleasant vinous oak aroma with some caramel. Mid sweet with medium-full body and clean mouthfeel. Pleasant vinous tartness and port. Some brown sugar and metal. Low bitterness. The base beer lacks personality, but is dressed in a stunning french oak outfit. It doesn’t work all the way - as near always with de Proef stuff.
