Bottle. Really great version of this still. Amber in color. Aroma is light roasted grains a nice maltiness. Taste is sweet upfront, nutty malt in the middle with a well balanced finish.

Can from Tavour at 6.7%. Pours clear dark copper/amber with a slight beige head. Aroma of toffee. Med body. Flavor is toffee/brown sugar with hardly more than hints of spice/grass. More sweety/malty than many Oktos.

Very sweet for the style, like a pumpkin beer without the spices. Brown sugar and caramel dominate, with some toasted bread underneath and a semi-saccharine bitterness on the finish. Not my type of marzen.

12 oz can from Tavour. Copper colored pour, flat. Musty, malty aroma. Taste is also musty, papery, and too dry. Slightly metallic

12 ounce can thanks to Steve. Pours a clear orange hue with a large white head. A light toasted malt nose. Fresh, toast, light fruit. Soft bready malts. Solid. Clean.

Coppery with a bitter back, not as sweet as expected. Eh.

Bottled, from Total Wine & More, Plano North. Clear amber, rich firm head. Perfumy malt aromatic nose. Mid sweet with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Flora and husky with notes of caramel. Sugar and dough crysal malt. Mid bitter finish. Typical American style interpretation of the style. Well executed as such. Lacking some of the malt softness and near infinite drinkability that is what separates the best festbiers from the crowd.

Bottle. Pours a clear copper with a small frothy off white head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is breqdy malt and raisin. Thin mouthfeel with a bitter raisin and dry finish. A decent marzen from Rahr.
