Poured into a nonic pint glass, the appearance was a mostly black color with a fairly quick dissipating foamy to bubbly sort of white head. Mild lacing.
The aroma leaned towards a mild bitter to earthy hoppiness flowing on into some roasty and slightly spicy tones with a nice caramel malt flow into a light milk chocolate.
The flavor tried to blend between the sweet and the spicy with a great balancing milk chocolate to sly cinnamon sort of spice. Sly roasty to spicy to semi-sweet sort of finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionable to semi-sipping sort of ability about it. Mild carbonation felt fine. Mild ABV, still seemed fine for the most part.
Overall, not sure if this is a sweet stout, but a decent stout if at all.

Cask at American Flatbread, Burlington. Near black. Chocolate, caramel, vanilla and cinnamon up front. Mid sweet with medium body and well rounded mouthfeel. Caramelly with some coffee and a mild tingle of chili heat. Mid bitter finish
