Bottled, from Gulating, Bergen. Cloudy amber, small head. Fruity nose with some coriander. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Coriander and caramel. Low-medium bitterness.

500ml bottle, batch 363, bought at Gulating Tromsø. Shared with Vegard and Pål. Patchy and bubbly at the surface. Clear orange coloured body. Poor lacing. Restrained aroma of pale malts, herbs and berries. Modest taste character containing grass, red berries, pale malts and a backdrop of spices. Short, mid-dry ending. Didn’t add much to the food. Flaske fra Gulating Stavanger, delt med skibsrederen etter endt tapping av Thorfinns Jul 2. Etiketten sier at dette er Rudolfs Hreindyr Bjor (det heter da virkelig reinsdyr, med eller uten h). Den er ikke rein i aroma og smak, men dyr for den dårlige kvaliteten. Ufrisk, vammel aroma, smak og ikke minst ettersmak, med anis og krydder i en slapp maltkropp og nesten uten humle.

Bottle of Gulating Rudolf Hreindyr Bjór shared with JMD at HNB 15.12.16. Clear copper. Beige head. Star anise in aroma. Taste of star anise, christmas spices and toffee, with roasted almonds in aftertaste. Fizzy carbonation. Waterish. Seemingly not infected. Congratulations, Larvik! Still not good - a clear pour-out.

Utseende: Gulbrun.
Skum/kullsyre: Tynt skum.
Smak: Malt og frukter.
Hvor: Bryne avholdslag’s Ølsmaking hos Geir med Untappd Jostein og Sted-rater Bryne.

KRS 311215. Amber colour with a beige head. Aroma is cloves, spices, sugar. Flavour is butterscotsch, cloves, spices, roasted malt, coriander, caramel, sugar. Weird beer.

Flaske 500ml fra Gulating Larvik. Delt med Håvard I Tyrihansveien 18 Jan 15. Mørk aprikosfarget. Uklar. Høyt kremaktig skum som daler sakte. Spotlacing. God furunålsaroma. Smaken det samme. Definitivt julepreg men blir ensformig.

Bottle 500ml @ Geokkjer
Pours hazy copper with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, clove, soap and licorice. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long clove and anise spiced finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle. An unclear amber colored beer topped by a small, off-white head. The aroma is spiced and lightly soapy, with fruitsugar and candy in the back. Some lemon notes and caramel malts. It’s medium to full-bodied, semi-dry and with a pleasant carbonation level. Soapy, spiced flavor with caramel malts and candy. Long spiced finish. Not very good this one. Spiced beers can be nice, but this isn’t hitting the target. 151231

Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet spiced, ginger, sweet sage, pine needles, grass, cloves, honey, light malts, flowers, grain. Taste is slightly dry grassy, weeds, dried grain, grass, cloves, ginger, pine needles, minerals, hay, flowers. Medium bitterness, slightly dry and harsh mouthfeel. Just boring.
