Canned. Near black with mid sized beige head. Aroma of salmiak and William pears. Mid sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Dark chocolate, pears and licorice. Peppery bitter finish. Nice!

My first imperial stout served out of a can. Poured in my ABGB tulip glass with a dark brown liquid and a milk chocolate head. It has a scent of grain and burnt toast. A drink of it delivers chocolate, roasted pecans and a touch of smoke. It carries a moderate bitterness at the end. Good but not earth shaking.

Draught at the brewery. Dark brown. Thin head. The aroma has a lot of molasse, and light fruit. This is an inky brew, with rich fruit, lots of roast. Moderate bitterness. Easy going, though, drinkable for the rich flavours.

On tap at the brewery. Pours black with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is chocolate, licorice, roast. Medium mouth, roasted malt, dark fruit, chocolate, light dry finish, very good.
