A while back we had a competition for a home brewer to brew batch 200. This beer is the result. A thick, robust russian stout with tones of syrup, tobacco, chocolate, coffee, and licorice. Brewed with a bucket of turkish pepper sweets.

Draught@Stockholm Beer & Whisky Festival 2018. Black colour, mediumsized brown head. Aroma is salted liquorice, some spices, quite sweet, but still hides the alcohol nicely. Flavour is the Turkisk Peppar candy, with some liquorice root as well as some rather bigtime sweetness. A bit too sweet for it's own good.

(Draught at Stockholm Beer & Whisky Festival, 6 Oct 2018) Black colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with dark chocolate, coffee and liquorice. Malty, roasted taste with notes of dark chocolate, liquorice, coffee, Turkisk peppar (hot and salty liquorice candy), salmiac and a warming finish with a mild roasty bitterness. Full body, oily texture. A certain sweetness. Not really in perfect balance, but tasty and powerful. Nice one.
