In unserer GARDEN SERIES verarbeiten wir natürliche Zutaten aus heimischen und exotischen Gärten. Das können Früchte, Kräuter, Wurzeln und Gemüse sein. Was passt kommt rein. Ganz bewusst und natürlich.
Unsere sommerlich frische GURKEN GOSE verbindet heimische Braukunst mit dem Geist der amerikanischen Craft-Bier-Bewegung. Die Gose ist ein wiederentdeckter, deutscher SauerBier-Stil der traditionell mit Salz, Koriander und Milchsäure gebraut wird. „Was passt dazu besser als Salat?“, dachten wir uns und wurden bei einem Gurkenbauern im Frankenland fündig … allerdings mussten wir zum Brauen nach Österreich flüchten, da es uns in der bayerischen Heimat nicht gestattet ist diese Bierspezialität zu brauen.
Drei Jahre ist es nun her, dass David Hertl und ich die Gurken Gose das erste mal eingebraut haben. Nach vier Suden und vielen tollen Festivals auf denen wir immer wieder in schmerzverzerrte und beigeisterte Gesichter blicken durften, braut nun jeder seine eigene Rezeptur ein. In bester Freundschaft batteln wir uns quasi und laden Euch zum Gurken-Vergleich ein.

17-11-17 // at 3. Mainzer CraftBeerMesse. Hazy yellowish. Small head. Nose mild sour cucumber. Very light bodied, cucumber watery with salty ocean water amd some corinader. Okay. --- Beer merged from original tick of Gurken Gose on 01 Jan 2021 at 14:37 - Score: 7. Original review text: Last night. 330ml bottle. New label. Taste is still crazy as before. Spicy cucumber juice.

Bottled 330ml. -at Craft Room Zagreb. Pale golden coloured, small to medium sized white head, salty cucumber in the nose. Light cucumber taste with notes of pickles and grass. Slightly salty finish. Interesting cucumber salad beer.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Noam's place. Thanks Roni W. Hazy yellow. Awful aroma of lots of cucumber, some coriander, sweet pickles. Disgusting flavor of cucumber, slightly spicy, a bit salty. Light-bodied. Disgusting and undrinkable for me. I hate cucumber.

From the bottle. Gold. Light haze. Fizzy head fades quick. Inert. Pungent aroma of pickles. Ughh. Tastes like rotting pickle juice. I'm going to be ill. A second sip is owed. Can't just give up after one, right? More pickle juice. There are other undertones there if you're willing to search but I'm not. Pickles are the one food I don't eat and having my beer taste like them is pure heresy. Thankfully split four ways. None of us finished it.

Bottle at Craft Room. Misty golden-amber body, tiny white head. PIckles, enormous pickles in the aroma, generally soft. Soft, salty taste, with soft salty and slightly sweetish pickles - but not the best pickles in the world, just average. If you absolutely love pickles, this is your beer. If you don't, stay far away.

„Hertl & Hopfmeister Gurken Gose“, Flasche (33 cl) aus der Bierothek Nürnberg. - Goldbraun, trüb, kaum Schaum. - In der Nase muffig süßsaurer Dillgurken-Aufguß, der schlecht mit der matten Malzigkeit harmoniert. - Antrunk limonadenartig dünn und stumpf, mit schwach säuerlichem Malz, dumpfen Gurkenaromen und matter zitroniger Herbe. Im Abgang schaler Plastikmuff und säuerliche Herbe. - Diese abgestandene Brühe erinnert weder an echte Gose noch an frischen Gurkensalat. Ein schlechter Scherz, kaum trinkbar. Wahrscheinlich lacht sich der junge Hertl heimlich ins Fäustchen, wenn er die ganzen enthusiastischen Bewertungen hier liest ...

Pours light orange, slight haze. Nose has nice salty pickles aroma, quite freshly pickled I think. Salty pickles taste, almost like that pickles liquid you have in the morning after drinking too much. Not entirely disliking this, I mean I like pickles and I enjoy beer. Together? Hmmm

330ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, orangey, dark golden colour with small to average, frothy, fading white head. Cucumber and gherkin aroma, a minimally salty-spicy touch, hints of brine. Taste is mildly tart, tangy, notes of cucumber, gherkin, a touch of salt and lemon, hints of dill. Highly drinkable, very refreshing - nice.

Handbottled at BeerGeek Bar. Cloudy, gold colored. AROMA- cucumber salad, pickles, tones of coriander. FLAVOR- slightly salty, cucumbers, coriander notes. Light to medium bodied.
