A collaboration with our friends over at The Dubliner Whiskey. First off we brewed delightful coffee-infused milk stout. We then aged this beauty in fresh bourbon barrels. The result is a mesmerizing Irish Coffee – Stout! All the wonder of an Irish Coffee in a stout; this is magic!

Keg at Dy Klomp, Linköping. Clear deep ruby, mid sized head. Milky caramel aroma. Mid sweet with medium body and clean mouthfeel. Aluminium foil, yoghurt and toffee. Mouldy finish with some lemon. Disappointing.

Bottle from O’Briens. Black with a red hue, tan head. Aroma is dominated by coffee. Flavour is ground coffee, light hints of whisky, a bit warm, but mostly coffee. Nice, but not quite matching the label.

500ml bottle at home. Pours black with a slight bit of ruby red coming through the bottom of the glass. Thin tan head that dissipates quickly. Buttery oak from the barrel aging in the aroma, milk chocolate, slight bit of coffee but nearly as much as I was expecting. Mouthfeel is quite thin which affects the flavour somewhat, this isn’t really the flavour bomb I was hoping for. Butter whiskey but not boozy, meek milky coffee, teeny tiny bit of milk chocolate. Quick finish
