330ml bottle from El & Khmel in Moscow. As “Alexandr” (it’s the same beer according to the brewer, but for some reason there are two entries on RateBeer). Pours pitch black with a tall beige head. Aroma is whiskey, coffee, roast. Taste is light sweet, smokey whiskey, coffee, medium bitter finish.

Bottle. Opaque petroleum black, moderate espresso-like head. Nice lacing. The aroma is heavily roasty. Lots of coffee and earth. Citrusy hop. A stout indeed. Medium body. Taste: dryish. Smooth maltiness, huge roased malts, coffee, chocolate. Minor cream. Decent citrusy bitterness on ending. All in all a very well-made impy. The rating is my try to be objective. Did I like it: only roughly.

Bottle shared at a tasting at Naama’s place. Black with a nice tan head. Aroma of roast, malt, some smokiness, slightly meaty, a fruity hint and coffee note. Sweetish flavor with caramel, roast, smokiness, a bit of coffee, a nutty note and a bitter finish. Medium to full-bodied. Nice.

Piligrim, Moscow 50cl: Pours black with light brown head. Aroma is booze and booze and booze. Taste is chocolate with a milky and sugary. Not too sweet considering. Alcohol is well covered considering. Not too bad. Aroma is pretty off putting though.
