Bottle, 9.0% as Bojanowo Porter. Mild chocolate aroma, strangely perfumy. Black colour, seems clear with a dark brown tinge. Good stable light brown head. The flavour starts off a little sweet, but turns out to have a complex roasted and burnt aroma. Notes of milk chocolate, but with the bitterness of dark chocolate. Soft carbonation and creamy mouthfeel.

500ml bottle [courtesy of Lukas - thank you very much, chap!]. Opaque, darkest brown colour with slightly late awakening, average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, tan head. Sweet-ish, chocolately and slightly roasty, dark malty and minimally yeasty, spicy aroma, notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, some dark caramel, whiffs of marmite and lovage, some Brazil nut, dusty overtones, additional coffee overtones while warming up. Taste is roasty, chocolately dark and slightly caramel malty, slightly yeasty spicy, notes of chocolate, cocoa, some dark caramel, hints of marmite, a touch of lovage, subtle caramel malty sweetness, late developing yeasty fruity overtones with a touch of plum; some mild, conjoint roasty and hoppy bitterness with coffee aspects in the finish. Creamy texture, smooth and soft, silky, minimally cloying palate, medium to fine, soft carbonation. Initially not really convincing, but the marmite touch becomes replaced by coffee flavours after the beer is warmed-up - decent.

Keg at Piw Paw, Łódź. Black, small head. Buttery nose with caramel and licorice. Mid sweet with medium to full body and rounded mouthfeel. Butterscotch and coffee, some treacle. Mid bitter finish. Old school Polish porter, complete with diacetyle. For good and bad.

Ładna beżowa piana. W aromacie przesadzona biszkoptowość, słodowość, kawa zbożowa i paloność. W smaku znów biszkopt, gorzka czekolada i umiarkowana goryczka.

Barwa ciemnobrunatna, niemal klarowne, piana beżowa, dość obfita, dość trwała. W aromacie czekolada, ciemny chleb, ciemne owoce. W smaku półwytrawne, gorzka czekolada, nieco czekoladek w likierze. Goryczka średnia, wysycenie średnie, ciała nie brakuje, nieco wyczuwalny alkohol. Niezłe, ale są też lepsi.

Barwa ciemnobrunatna, piana beżowa, dość szybko znika. Lekko oblepia szkło. W aromacie lekkie wiśnie w czekoladzie. W smaku kawa, przypieczona skórka od chleba, jasne owoce. Metaliczność w pierwszym łyku, w kolejnych juz niewielka. Całkiem dobry ale bez szału.
