Sample @ Hudson Valley line bottle share. Heavy, massively thick and sticky syrupy with loads of maple syrup, toffee, coffee and vanilla notes. Intense but a bit too sweet.

(On tap @ Himmeriget, Copenhagen, Feb 9/19) Pours pitch black with a small pale tan head. Notes of sticky sweet malt that has a light roast but intense tones of dark caramel, raw sugar and chocolate candy, with lots of lighter and less woody maple syrup/sugar, soft vanilla from the barrel, not much wood but a touch of bourbon into the finish. Heavy sweet all the way through the sip with a little alcohol drydown but low bitterness. Quite full sticky syrupy body, low carbonation. Seriously intense stuff, bordering on too sweet for me though given the low roast/wood component.

Tap@Himmeriget, Copenhagen - black pour with brown ringed head. Dark sweet and light roasted malty with opulent chocolate, some caramel and lovely sticky maple sweetness, light singed brown sugar, exceedingly smooth mouthfeel and full bodied, dark malty bourbon laden finish. Gorgeous stuff.

Bottle - pours black with no head - nose and taste of maple, bourbon, sweet chocolate, vanilla and lightly smoked brownie - full bodied.
