Thick, voluptuous tan-cream head, rather stable over pitch-black beer. Lots of roast, as well as fruity aroma's, fruity esters & acids; vinous, old wine barrels. Sourish, vinous. Roast - though quite present - is mildered by the fantastic fruit- and vinous esters; giving it an incomparable depth & complexity. There is an impression of fruit ganache for pralines. Finish has something dry, as chalk. Never having tasted aronia, I can't identify them, but fruit/berries are there. Fruit- and gristslick and -filled, to medium body. Even at bit chewy. Not very carbonated. Phenomenal beer, outstanding balance. Pit Caribou - I'm impressed, truly!
