A very special version of our latest collaboration beer, with Huddersfield institution Dixons ‘Milk Ices’. In homage to this favourite local treat we use Golden Promise, Crystal and Carafa malts to add light maltiness and colour and Pinhead Oats and Oat Malt are then used to give a smooth and velvety body. We then added Lactose milk sugar before fermentation and a little premium Madagascan Vanilla for a nostalgically sweet and milky flavour. Just like the Milk Ice, it’s a Taste of Its Own!

Keg at Heidrun, HW, 18/01/20. Black with a decent tan covering. Nose is light roast, Jacobs club mint biscuit, chocolate, light spice. Taste comprises more subtle chocolate mint elements, roasted tones, light charr, cocoa powder, dried fruits. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close. Not bad for a minted affair ... balance is well worked.

Svart. Mokkafarget filmskum. Aroma av After Eight. Smaken det samme. Mest sjokolade etter hvert. Uvariert.

150ml on tap at Agenturet Øl og Vinbar. A patchy beige head to a deep dark brown, spotty lacing on the glassware. Moderate mint chocolate aromas. After eight taste. Ends with chocolate malts. easy to drink. Satisfying, rather unvaried though. (Tromsø 16.01.2020).

Keg at stormbird Camberwell. A clear dark mahogany brown coloured pour with a lasting fine beige colour head. Aroma is milky chcoc, mellow mint chocolate lactose,. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, lactose, mellow chocolate notes, toothpaste,. Not my thing. Palate is semi sweet, wishy washy, airy carbonation.
