Pours near black. Smells of roast malt, coffee, chocolate, and vanilla. Taste is similar. It’s robust and well balanced. Medium to full body.

Appearance- black, opaque, almost no head, just some light brown bubbles. Aroma- milk chocolate, vanilla, milky coffee, dark malts. Taste- chocolate, toffee, dark malts, vanilla, biscuity malt, very soft carbonation, smooth and quite thin mouthfeel. Lingering vanilla finish.

16 oz. can with a wild story... So on the drive back home from family vacation, I ask my wife for a Diet Coke. It’s dark and she grabs me a can... it’s not Diet Coke!!! Long story short, this beer enjoyed an hour ride in violation of various and sundry rules and regulations before making it to a pint glass. Aromas are very nice... lots of leather, chocolate and vanilla. Flavor has some notes of brilliance, but they come around the edges of a watery main attraction. Vanilla, cocoa and leather are all very nice, but the beer waxes and wanes a bit across the palate. One moment it seems like it is really heading somewhere, the next it comes across as tap water. Odd.
