Together with Five Points from London we brewed this 100% pilsner malt and Scotch ale yeast fermented barley wine, giving us a clean classic with a twist. That’s why barley wine became Warley Bine. Switch it up!

In January of 2019 we added to our squad of brewers here at Dugges. Rebecca started working with us. Previously, Rebecca had been working at Five Points in London. So, that we would do a beer together with them at some point in the future was a given. In August of 2019 Rebecca traveled back to London for the London Craft Beer Festival and around that festival we got the chance to brew that beer with Five Points. Naturally, we had to do a re-brew at our place. And, this is that re-brew. Well, one version of it at least. We brewed this beer but we also did a dry hopped version and two barrel aged versions. Here’s to friends in beer!

Tap at FFB20. When I was handed the glass I thought it was a mistake first; the beer is deep golden coloured with a white head. Nose is bready, lager-y malts. Taste is sweet booze, weird grainy malts, not quite there altogether. Long sweet finish, medium body, soft to average carbo. Hit n miss.
