Bottle, 7.5%. Good jammy hop aroma, fruity and piney. Black colour with a faint red shine. Small stable light brown head. The flavour is sweet and quite roasted to begin with. Then comes a distinct bitterness with a good hop bite in the finish. Teaish hoppiness, also piney and citric. Very roasted malt base also.

Bottle at home, bought in Stockholm, 21st March 15. Pours big head, good lacing. Liked this, lots if bitter hops, great sweet balance, good roastiness, reminded me of Thornbridge Raven, so good.

500ml bottle @ Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Pours a deep dark black with nice tan head. Aroma is pine and dark malts. Taste is an initial zingy blast of sharp hops before it calms down to a thin, dry finish. It’s tasty, certainly hoppy but just lacks enough body to make me want to reach for it again.

Hops are Herkules, Tomahawk, Amarillo, Simcoe, Cascade and Centennial. Yeast is US-Ale. Very dark brown to black colour, large beige head. Strong hoppy aroma, notes of pine, spruce and grapefruit, hints of tropical fruits and chocolate. Hoppy flavour too, but not extreme. Piney and grapefruity notes, with a distinct hoppy and roasty bitterness in the finish and long aftertaste. Good beer.

0,50 bottle courtesy of Boban, thank you bulldog :-) consumed in Serbia after having travelled from Greece. Pours black, with an enormous cappuccino head which lowers slowly leaving drafts. Nose: distinctive orange-tangerine hoppiness. A blast of fantastic citrusy aroma. A hint of smoked malts far away in the background although if you close your eyes you won't guess it is black. Lovely nose! Mouth: caramel hint, fresh feel of citrusy hops, medium carbonation, world class beer! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
