Cloudy blond colour with lasting head. Aroma and flavour have some light wheaty notes. There's a certain old mustiness to it though.

Blonde ale brewed for Foodpunks, a catering service in Gentbrugge, by Andy Dewilde of Vliegende Paard Brouwers, best known for the Préaris brand. Had this one at Bassin, also in Gentbrugge, quite an unexpected tick. Eggshell-white, mousy and dense, frothy head over a lightly hazy, ‘metallic’ old gold coloured beer with peachy tinge and lots of enthusiastic sparkling. Aroma of ripe peach and banana, apple sauce, sugarloaf, honey, sourish yellow plum here and there, soap, old bread crust, abbey cheese, pineapple but also some less flattering aspects – however subtle – of sweaty socks and overcooked broccoli (DMS). Crisp, fruity onset, some apricot, light banana and ripe pineapple, sweetish and sourish with lively carbonation, soft bready malt body with a light, soapy and even weirdly resinous edge; cereally middle, lingering fruitiness, herbal and floral hop note but remaining soft in bitterness, with the soapiness, fruitiness and maltiness lingering way beyond the hops. Fruity, accessible Belgian style blonde with some subtle off-flavours, (very) far from Vliegende Paard’s best effort to date, but drinkable still in an unassuming manner.

Bit cloudy blond to orange beer, big creamy beige head, unstable, falls down quickly, non adhesive. Aroma: malty, grains, hay, very yeasty, sweetish impression, some cow fodder. MF: very lively carbon, medium to light body. Taste: very malty, grains, very yeasty, weird, bit chemical, spicy, little dirty. Aftertaste: sugary, malty, grains, metallic touch, cow fodder, slightly fruity.
