“Wilder Mann“, dunkles Bockbier (6 %) aus der Hausbrauerei Schwingenheuer, Dresden. Flasche (50 cl) im Bautzner Tor ebenda. - Tiefdunkelbraun, trüb. - In der Nase dunkles Malz, Mokkabohnen und eine zarte säuerlich-molkige Note. - Antrunk kräftig dunkelmalzig mit Mokka(bohnen) und kerniger Bitterschokolade, aufgelockert durch eine zarte, keineswegs störende säuerliche Note, ein wenig Zitrone, Feige. Zart moosig-erdiger, frischer Hopfen. Für einen Bock recht frisch und lebhaft. Mild rezent, füllig aber nicht breit. Im Abgang runde hopfenwürzig-moosige Hopfenherbe über bitterschokoladigem Malz. - Origineller, sehr guter Bock.

Im Antrunk zeigt sich das Bier dunkelmalzig mit hopfigem Einschlag und wirkt dabei außerordentlich frisch. Die Malzigkeit zieht zwar an und wird vollmundiger, der frische, im Vordergrund stehende Ton weicht aber dennoch nicht. Etwas schokoladig werdend, neben der Malzigkeit erscheint eine leichte Hopfennote, die zwar nur am Rande mitspielt, dafür aber natürlich wirkt und nicht auf Extrakt schließen lässt. Weich, sehr wenig herb, sehr süffig. Ein süffiger Kandidat mit charackteristischem Malz. Vielen Dank an den Doppelbock für das Bier! 12/12/11/12/11/12

bottle, bought at the brewery, shared with Allen! Clear brown colour, small beige head. Aroma of caramel. Malty, hints of caramel and chocolate, shy fruity hints are also there.

Bügelverschlußflasche (Dange, Stefan!): Hazy, reddish-amber coloured, some lost raisins in the fruity-toasty nose; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied, quite smooth; slightly increasing bitterness in the fruity-toasty finish. Not bad, but disappointing........

(swing top bottle, courtesy of Quack-Duck) Hazy, brown colour with a ruby shine and a slightly beige medium-sized foamy head. Sweet and shy toasty malty aroma with a tinge of bread, vanilla and subtle berry-fruity notes. Sweet-bitter flavour, medium to full bodied with a soft carbonation. Slightly toasty malty taste with hints of dark berries; dry-out-effect towards the finish, which is moderately bitter and slightly sweet with chalky and shy hoppy accents. 14.IV.10

The bottle looks really good, the beer in the glass also. Smoky aroma. Starts modest malty and dry, not as smoky as exspected. Finish in the first moment mild with an increasing maltiness. Notes of chocolate in the background. Nice bock!
