Tap at Airbrau, Munchen Flughafen - 14/07/12. Pours hazy amber gold with a decent finger + of white head. On the nose - banana, wheat, citrus, grass. Tastes match the nose with a little hops also coming through. Lighter bodied than standard weizen as you’d expect but none the less refreshing on a hot day.

Leicht malziger Antrunk, etwas muffig, tendentiell aber eher spritzig. Leichte, kaum störende Noten des Alkoholentzugs sind erkennbar. Mehr stört die vorherrschende Wässrigkeit, die sin hinter dem hefigen Malz verbirgt, auch, wenn sie gelungen versteckt ist. Zum Ende etwas malziger, süffig, erfrischend, noch wenig aromatisch. Für ein elichtes Weizen gut! 10/8/10/9//9

From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy dark orange with a creamy and white head. Aroma is mild roasted and wheaty. Estery, mild citric and orange to banana fruity. Medium dry estery fruity into the finish. Ends mild citric. Not my thing.

Take S1 or S8 -train from München to the last station and you are at this brewpub! This seasonal unfiltered brew is hazy amber colored with good creamy off-white head. Banana and lemony notes in the nose. Light palate, crisp. Some banana and bubblegum notes, slightly acidic finish. I can’t say what style this is - it certainly tastes like having wheat in it, but Airbräu has also regular weizen. Maybe this is "light" version of it ...

Re-rate: Yeasty aroma. Hazy orange/strawcolor. Taste balanced towards grain/malt, straw and with notes of lager yeast. Quite full body.
